Buku baru, “the Ocean at the End of the Lane”

I liked myths. They weren’t adult stories and they weren’t children stories. They were better than that. They just were.

Adult stories never made sense, and they were slow to start. They made me feel like there were secrets, Masonic, mythic secrets, to adulthood. Why didn’t adults want to read about Narnia, about secret islands and smugglers and dangerous fairies?

Neil Gaiman, The Ocean at the End of the Lane

And I smiled.

Dear Mr. Gaiman,

Tiga belas tahun sesudah pertama melihat The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe, saya masih meraba-raba dinding lemari. Saya masih melihat-lihat lubang kelinci. Neil Gaiman book… do you have one?”

Salam,

Adiwena

ImageP.S: Dear Boss, if you read this, many of the writings above are for literary purpose only. I will not completely stay out of work, obviously. I will however, be a tiny bit farther from my cellphone and laptop, so.. yeah.. Have a nice weekend!
